Bounty

Privacy

Last updated October 12, 2026. Bounty is in beta; this page says plainly what we keep and what we don't.

What stays in your browser

Your answers, your plan, the accounts you track and your chat are saved in this browser, not on our servers. When you chat with Claude, your message and the parts of your plan it needs go to our server and the AI provider to write the reply; we don't keep them.

What we keep when you ask us to email your plan

  • Your email address.
  • Your answers as the ranges you tapped (like “$25k” or “1 card”), never exact balances or account numbers, and the number we worked out from them.
  • Where you'd use Bounty (iPhone, Android, web), if you said.
  • Whether you asked for occasional updates. The box starts unticked.
  • Your share code, the share code of whoever sent you, and the campaign tags on the link you came in on, if any.

What we never ask for or keep

  • Your Social Security number.
  • Bank or card logins and passwords.
  • Credit report files.

Email

The plan email is the one email you asked for. We send updates only if you ticked the box, and every update has an unsubscribe link.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it, or two years after you last signed up, whichever comes first.

Deleting it

Write to the address on this page (coming soon) from the address you signed up with, and we'll delete your entry within 30 days. To clear what's in your browser, clear this site's data in your browser's settings.

Cookies and counting

Two small cookies, both first-party: bounty_ds remembers whether this browser opens the app or this site, and bounty_ref keeps the share code from the link you came in on for 30 days. We count visits and steps, like “finished the questions”, without your answers, your email address or advertising cookies.

Who else sees it

Only the services that send our email and store the list for us. We don't sell your information or share it for advertising.
